Aluprof attaches great importance to sustainability.

In the course of climate change, sustainability is becoming more and more important – also and above all for companies like Aluprof. The EU target of reducing CO₂ emissions by 55 percent by 2030 compared to 1990 can only be achieved with the help of industry. We are therefore aware of our task and role model function. Energy-efficient processes and sustainable action run through all areas of our company – from electricity consumption to heating to recycling.

Lights on, lights off – save energy automatically
All of our LED lamps are equipped with a motion detector. It means that the entire lighting – in the offices, corridors, toilets and the production hall – is controlled automatically. In concrete terms, this means: if no one is working near an LED lamp, it switches off – and remains so until someone moves around. This automated lighting control saves electricity and promotes the efficient use of energy. The electricity we use comes from 100 percent renewable energy sources and is therefore CO₂-neutral (see certificate).

Prevent unnecessary heat loss
When heating, in particular, there is a great risk of losing a lot of energy. We therefore rely on sustainable investments in order to reduce our heating output. A central ventilation system ensures the right amount of fresh air, the outer skin of the production hall and its roller doors are thermally insulated and all of our office windows are triple-glazed. We also use the heat from the air compressors and wet cutters to heat our production hall.

Recycle properly and avoid rubbish
With our material aluminum, we have been pioneers in recycling for years. Aluminum is 100 percent recyclable several times – provided that the waste is properly separated. And that is what we attach great importance to: Regardless of whether it is aluminum chips, steel, electrical appliances, wood, paper or cardboard: All of our materials are separated and then recycled. But the best garbage is known to be the one that doesn’t exist. For this reason, almost all of our office work is now paperless, we use reusable packaging of all kinds and quench our employees’ thirst using plastic-free water dispensers with carbon filters. In addition, we have reduced our lubricant consumption when machining aluminum parts to a minimum.
